Holiday Wear - Part 1

By Silhouettes1 · November 8, 2010 · 0 Comments ·

With winter holidays just around the corner, it’s time to start thinking about parties and dressing up! What are you going to wear to the neighbors’ cocktail party? To your significant other’s work event? To your family Christmas dinner?

We’ll start with some basic suggestions for parties where professional and discreet work best. You don’t want to be falling out of your dress at the company Christmas party—no  matter how much fun it might seem at the time!

For work and professional parties, choose simple and elegant pieces that make you look both beautiful and put together. This gold-beaded tunic is an example, as is this embellished tunic (it’s got just enough sequins to be interesting, without going overboard.)

Pair your tunics with slim-fitting black pants and then spice things up with shoes and jewelry. A pair of these boots would look great over a tighter-fitting pair of pants. Or skip the boots and get sparkly with these silver pom-pom dress pumps. Elegant jewelry—something like this necklace—will finish off your outfit perfectly.

If you prefer a dress to tunic tops, the surplice dress is a classic. And the tank dress with a pair of high boots and a long necklace is another fun option.

Stay tuned for Part II, when we get a little wild!
