Hey, baby

Have you tried a babydoll style top yet? Maybe you have, and you just don’t know it, because they are everywhere. Babydoll shirts are fitted on top and have a flowing lower half that skims the body in a really flattering way. You can reveal a little skin up top—but not your belly—and who doesn’t love that?

Like tunic tops, I’ve found that it’s best to pair babydolls with more fitted pants or skirts. Unlike tunics, they don’t work so well with form-fitting leggings (they’re usually not long enough), but they do help flatter your shape.

One babydoll style top to check out is this pretty embroidered tunic in navy. The white embroidery adds some cool detail and makes this a perfect pairing with jeans or other pants.

Another option, although not officially babydoll, is this pintuck tunic with a v-neck. It’s longer, works with jeans, pants or skirts—and it’s super flattering at the same time. This top is the kind of wardrobe staple that can be dressed up or dressed down.
