Turtlenecks: some people love them, other people hate them. I personally love them, but I can see why others don’t. If you have a short neck or torso, turtlenecks can make them seem even shorter. And some people don’t feel comfortable with fabric around their necks.
BUT! I think more people would like turtlenecks if they gave them a try. They’re very comfortable and you never have to worry about gaping buttons or shirt fronts falling open. They also work well in a lot of different settings. And you can fold the necks down as little or as much as you want.
Here’s a basic plus-size cotton turtleneck that comes in a ton of colors and can go from home to work and back again. You can layer it, too, or add a skinny belt for some extra style.
Another option is this great turtleneck sweater that comes in four colors (including fun ones like magenta and cobalt). I like the ruching and buttons around the neck. This isn’t a very high turtleneck, so it’s easy to wear, and perfect for cooler days.
