Shrugging

Do you know what a shrug is? I mean, other than a lift of your shoulders when you don’t know the answer to a question?

The answer still has something to do with shoulders. A shrug is a small sweater that covers your shoulders and upper arms. Usually with three-quarter length sleeves.

A shrug is an excellent piece to add to your wardrobe, just because it’s so useful! I love to take one along with me when I’m wearing something more formal, because the shrug doesn’t cover your dress the way a full-size cardigan does. But sometimes you just need something to warm you up.

Shrugs are also good for church weddings where you want some extra coverage in the sanctuary itself, but want to show more skin on the dance floor later.

This small sweater knit shrug is very light and fun, with an open style. Covers exactly what it needs to—no more, no less. Another option is this plus-size shrug that offers more coverage, and can be tied or worn open over dresses and shirts.
