About Francie Nguyen:

Originally from Chicago, Francie Nguyen started her career working at the Windy City landmark retailer Sears. A year later, another venerable Illinois-based company, Spiegel catalog, offered Francie the position of Assistant Buyer in the Designer Department. Here, she worked with top designer brands including Calvin Klein, DKNY, Norma Kamali, and Ralph Lauren. A promotion to Men’s Athletic Buyer soon followed, giving her the chance to partner with top brands like Reebok, Nike and Adidas.

The merging of Spiegel with Newport News gave Francie the opportunity to transfer to New York City, where she became Product Manager for Newport News catalog. In this role she traveled extensively, sourcing products throughout Europe and Asia, with frequent trips to China, Hong Kong, Korea and Paris. It proved to be great preparation for her next position as Director of Merchandising in the Ready-to-Wear Division, where she continued to crisscross Europe for market buys and shows. During this time Francie developed and launched an upscale fashion catalog called Cami.

Francie’s next career move had her team up with Redcats USA, where she developed and launched their first ever plus-size intimates catalog. She then took her extensive knowledge of retail and catalog merchandising to Delia’s, gaining expertise in the teen market. This lead to an exciting opportunity in Philadelphia as General Manager of the direct business at Anthropologie, where she acquired tremendous insight into successful internet marketing.

Finding herself missing New York, Francie jumped at the chance to return to the Big Apple to launch Spiegel’s first retail store. Then an irresistible opportunity presented itself: to head up all the brands at Hanover Direct.

Currently, as President of Hanover Direct, Francie oversees such noted brands as Silhouettes, The Company Store, Company Kids, Domestications and UnderGear.
