So I know spring is still weeks away, but hey! The groundhog didn’t see his shadow this year, so we’re going to go with wishful thinking and plan for spring shoes in February.
I mean, you can wear these shoes in the winter, too, but with ice and slush and salt everywhere, you probably don’t want to.
Celebrate the return of daffodils and other spring flowers with these pretty Zipper Flower flats! I imagine wearing them with a pair of jeans or khaki pants for a day out, or pairing them with more formal pants for a day at the office.
Cool platform pumps give you a boost! I like the platform base that these shoes have, in addition to the heel. They also have the shiny patent leather look that turns heads. Wear these with a skirt to work or any pair of pants you own, even jeans!
So you’ve got your pumps and flats, but don’t forget the slingback! These shoes have a trendy peep toe and a sexy bow to finish them off in style. Wear them with a dress, skirt, or nice pair of pants this spring.
I’ve seen some crazy shoes out there lately – the kind that you can barely stand in, let alone walk in. But people will wear very interesting things in order to be trendy, no doubt. High heels, crazy platforms—whatever it takes to be cool.
For some of us, though, crazy trendy shoes may look cool—but we only want to look at them on other people. We don’t actually want to wear them ourselves as we go about our daily lives.
I found some compromise shoes—the kind that look trendy without making you feel as though you’re about to fall over. I found a few good looking pairs that can add some style to your fall wardrobe without causing sprained ankles.
These Spectator shoes are stunning suede with vintage details that make them unique and eye-catching, too. You can wear them like you would wear ankle boots or other “low” shoes.
And these Victorian lace-up pumps, also in suede, have fun ribbon ties and are super-chic. Wear them the same way you would wear traditional pumps.
Another old-fashioned (but trendy) look are these button-detail booties. Wear them like you would any other pair of ankle boots for some fun flair.
The arrival of next season's styles also means the arrival of every girl's favorite accessory - shoes! Whether they're suede boots or metallic flats, it's time to think about which styles you'll be sporting. Gunmetal grays are a hot trend for early fall. If you haven't started planning your wardrobe, we recommend considering the following styles:
Ghillie Pump - $49 Menswear is a huge trend this fall (as you might have noticed from our Fall Fashion Preview post). These spectator-styled open oxfords are the perfect marriage of masculine paired with feminine in an easily, wearable 2" heel.
Essential Skimmer - $29 Honestly, you can't go wrong with a classic flat in fashion colors. There's a reason it's named the "Essential" - it is an essential component to your wardrobe this fall. The only question is how many colors do you want?
Demi Wedge Pump - $59 A new twist on a fall classic, the Demi Wedge is styled in black, emerald and gray. Instantly update any outfit with these runway-inspired pumps.
Three Buckle Riding Boot -$149 Trend-right wide calf boots are tough to find, especially once fall arrives. Silhouettes carries styles in calf widths up to 17" and we suggest snagging your size before they're gone!
